Adrian Peterson has played more snaps and certainly ran the ball more than we could have expected, but that’s nothing Adrian didn’t predict.
Now it looks like Leslie Frazier is taking notice of AD’s quick recovery.
“We think he’s getting to that point where we can think about a few more carries,” Frazier said via the Sacramento Bee. “He’s getting close to that point, so we’ll see how he does this week in practice. … We’ve been rotating him and Toby every other series, but we’re going to see how he does this week in practice.”
Frazier said Peterson is feeling better than he did last week, a good sign for his continued recovery.
“We feel like he’s really making progress from a physical standpoint.”
Adrian has looked great so far this year considering the circumstances, and he has certainly been clamoring to return faster than anyone thought he could. It looks like he may have been right.
Still, you don’t want to push him too hard too fast, especially against Patrick Willis and a ferocious 49ers defense, but Percy Harvin, er, I mean, the Vikings offense will need all the help they can get Sunday against one of the best teams in the NFC.
