There is no long term answer behind Ponder, not Webb, maybe MBT but probably not. They have said Ponder is the franchise guy and there is no reason not to play him the rest of the year to get a complete look at him. Give him the full season as the starter and see how he finishes. If he's a bust then you make an offseason move for a QB or a draft pick, though it's likely the Vikes will be picking in the top 10 again this year.
