Adrian Peterson Celebrates A Touchdown By Smacking A Kid In The Face (Video)

This was totally accidental by Adrian Peterson obviously. He goes to pat the kid on the head and ends up sort of slapping him. As far as I know the kid was fine. I didn’t hear any reports of any kids being hauled away from the Metrodome by ambulance with massive facial contusions or a cracked orbital bone or anything. And even if the kid did get hurt, hey, it was Adrian Peterson. Getting slapped in the face by AD during a TD celebration? That’s a badge of honor. That’s right up there with, I don’t know, getting hit in the mouth by an errant Tiger Woods drive. Having Dwight Howard dive into your lap. Getting beaned by an Albert Pujols foul ball. If the kid got hurt, have Adrian sign a jersey for him or something. It’s not a big deal.

    DB,

If you get any uproar/flak about “kid being slapped by Adrian Peterson after touchdown” (see links below), as the 12-year old’s dad, I can report he’s nothing but GIDDY over “getting to high-five AP” and that little love tap was no big deal…he thinks the whole thing is a scream! Great game memories as season ticket holders, and another bikes WIN! Skol…
