This summer Adrian Peterson was charged with resisting arrest after a weird incident between him and an off-duty cop doing security at a bar in Houston. You may remember the whole thing. There was a mugshot and everything. Seems like it happened about ten years ago. Well here we are in November and at last there is resolution. And it’s happy news for Peterson. All charges have been dropped.
The news broke Tuesday afternoon when AD texted journalist Josina Anderson who subsequently tweeted the report. Peterson’s high-priced lawyer Rusty Hardin told Mike Florio all the details on how he got the charges dropped. It’s good to have a high-priced lawyer.
We never did get much clarification about what actually happened in that bar. The cop said Peterson was very drunk and shoved him. Peterson denied all wrong-doing. Now…who really cares? The courts have cleared Peterson. It’s all water under the bridge. And frankly I don’t think many people were all that concerned anyway. It was sort of a forgotten incident.
I mean, it’s not like he did anything serious. He didn’t climb in a hot tub with a bunch of high school girls. For instance.
