The Vikings were hoping to get Percy Harvin back out on the practice field Thursday and see if he was making any progress in recovering from his sprained ankle. But it just didn’t happen. Harvin missed practice again and is looking more-and-more doubtful for Sunday against the Bears.
Harvin injured the ankle in that grueling second half against Seattle (many fans still think Leslie Frazier made a big mistake by leaving him in). The Vikes had to sit him against Detroit but were still able to win largely thanks to Adrian Peterson. And then Harvin had the bye week to rest. But two weeks off doesn’t look like it will be enough to get the ankle right.
I guess it’s still possible that Percy could play Sunday but it’s not looking very good. The Vikings need this game against the Bears to stay in the playoff hunt but with Harvin out their chances seem fairly dim.
