The Vikes needed a dagger. But Christian Ponder wasn’t going to deliver it. Neither was Adrian Peterson with the Bears selling out to stop the run. Enter Harrison Smith. Cutler’s pass sailed and Smith picked it off. And ran it back for the six. Huge huge play by Smith. Just what the doctor ordered for the offensively-challenged Vikings. Shades of the early ’90s Vikes who were known for scoring with their defense. The vaunted Viking D-offense returns! For one play at least.
Now can the Vikes keep Jay Cutler from orchestrating the comeback?
