I'm not suprised by anything (good or bad) that Ponder does, because he is inconsistant. He's a 'range' player, to steal a term from golf. I'm sure he's great at practice, when there is no mental pressure, or fear of being crushed. Once the game starts, he melts like ice cream in the hot sun, and just as quickly. This situation is going to lead to a whole host of problems down the road. A pretty good coach will get fired, Viking free-agents will leave, potentail free-agents will show little interest, and a Stadium project will be called into question. All of this, becuase the GM took a wild shot in the dark on a questionable QB, and now forces the organiztion to play this out to it's logical conclusion.
