Whoopee. We need a backup ready for the playoffs. He isn't. He won't be. He's a veteran now and is no better now than he was as a rookie. Did you not see him in the preseason? He couldn't even read the vanilla defenses! Would it have been great if Webb and his athleticism could contribute to our team, but he can't. Heck I'm sure the only team who would want Webb are the eagles or the jets, and you see what a laughing stock they are right now. This was Ponder's first official season and sure while it wasn't as awesome as RG3, Luck and Wilson, he did lead us to the playoffs. Our WR wouldn't even make the practice squad on most teams, and Vikings "fans" want to focus on getting a new QB or thinking Webb will magically get better? Why because he has better arm strength? A lot of good his arm strength does when he can't hit the board side of a barn, or read a defense. And if "fans" think a crappy backup can magically improve, why not Ponder? Ugh. Webb needs to go. This is getting ridiculous.

He was ready in Detroit, Philly, and Washington. Not many backup QB's could do what he did in those three games

The ONLY thing Webb would have been useful for was a 6th or 7th round pick... that is UNTIL his sucky game and now we'd probably have to give a team a pick just to take him off our hands.
