Percy Harvin was effectively fired this last season. When he was put on IR and was out of area for an ankle sprain? The reality is that it is highly unlikely that his ankle injury was that bad and putting him on IR got him away from the team and preserved some of his value for a trade after the season was over (easier to trade someone who missed some games due to an ankle injury than someone with an attitude so bad that you can't work with him). Harvin will not be back and there is no point in adjusting your drafting or free agent strategy based on the fiction that he will ever play another game for the Vikings. It would take a major change in Harvin's attitude to get him back (we're talking religious conversion type of attitude change - and that ain't likely). We get a quality receiver that will cost less money and we get rid of a growing headache. Sign Jennings for around 9 mil a year and Desmond Bryant for maybe 10mil/3yrs. Linebacker in round 1. CB round 2. WR round 3. Depending what happens with Jared Allen and Kevin Williams, we could quite likely have a nice chunk of cash to grab a 2nd tier DB and LB. He is a one trick pony that can't even do the one trick he has very often. There is a reason why the Steelers don't want him. So of course the Vikes want him, that is how we roll. Jennings is a different story, the Pack want him but they can't afford to keep with because of the massive amount of depth they have at receiver. Jennings is the one we should go after.
