The facts are Winfield is 36 years old, he was making 7 million, he was playing against the nickel, and he was practicing in a very limited fashion to help him survive the season. Furthermore, Rick S. talked to his agent during the combine and was told they would accept no reduction in pay. The solution was pretty obvious.
