The Vikings have begun locking up their draft picks. On Tuesday Penn State linebacker duo Gerald Hodges and Michael Mauti made it official. Florida State DT Everett Dawkins also signed on the dotted line. Hodges broke the news of his signing himself via Twitter:

Hodges got a four-year deal worth $2.5 million with a $400,000 signing bonus. Don’t spend it all in one place young man! Seriously, be responsible with your money. You don’t want to end up like Bryant McKinnie.
Details of the Mauti and Dawkins contract were not immediately available.
Per Tom Pelissero, the Vikes have the NFL’s seventh-highest rookie salary pool this year. They will spend a maximum of $37 million locking up their rooks, with two-thirds of that going to their three first round selections.
When can we expect those first rounders to start signing their deals? Patience kids. They’ll get signed. And there shouldn’t be any “offset language” flap this year like there was in 2012 with Matt Kalil. That stuff only comes up with the high picks.
