The Vikings Organized Team Activities opened on Tuesday, May 28th. With all the interesting storylines going on in camp, one of the most interesting involve Quarterback-turned-Wide Receiver Joe Webb. Webb is entering the year competing for one of the last spots on the Vikings roster at Wide Receiver. Four of the spots almost already guaranteed to Cordarelle Patterson, Greg Jennings, Jarius Wright, and Jerome Simpson.
While the competition at Wide Receiver is bound to be fierce, Joe Webb is already making the most of his opportunities. During today’s activities, Joe Webb showed off significant improvement in the softness of his hands. According to 1500ESPN’s Tom Pelissero, Joe Webb is reportedly catching everything that is being thrown at him.
If Webb can keep up this kind of work, he will most likely win a spot on the Vikings final roster. Since the Vikings wouldn’t be able to put Webb on the practice squad due to his NFL experience, Webb would have to be released into free agency if he doesn’t make the final roster.
For Webb, this is make or break with the Vikings.
