It wouldn’t be the pre-camp period without a little injury concern popping up. The guy we’re worried about right now is NFL Top 100 player Chad Greenway. Actually maybe “worried” isn’t the right term. Mildly concerned?
Leslie Frazier doesn’t seem to think it’s that big a deal. He explained that Greenway was having some knee issues. An MRI was done and Greenway was found to have some stuff going on there. So now the knee will be scoped. Or “cleaned out” as the hardcores call it. Frazier says Greenway will be ready for camp so no need to panic.
But let’s imagine for a second that Greenway isn’t ready for camp. Let’s imagine Greenway’s knee is worse than they thought and he has lingering issues into the season. What if Greenway’s knee is so messed up he can’t even play? You ready for a linebacker corps of Gerald Hodges, Erin Henderson and Marvin Mitchell?
Get well soon Chad. No seriously. Get that knee cleaned out. Rest up. Take all the time you need. You know what? Just sit out till the season starts. Man I rag on Greenway for being overrated but when you think about life without him? Suddenly you appreciate him. A lot.
