Jared Allen Appears Fine After Ankle Injury

Jared Allen gave everyone a little scare Tuesday at practice when he came up limping on his left ankle and was forced to leave the field. Initial reports from Leslie Frazier indicated that Allen would undergo an MRI – always a concerning development; even more so with an important starting player who is not exactly a spring chicken anymore.

But that was Tuesday. This is Wednesday and guess what? Everything looks fine with Jared’s ankle. 1500 ESPN’s Tom Pelissero replacement Andrew Krammer tweeted, “Jared Allen just walked out to AM walkthrough, not limping. Right ankle not in any kind of protection.”

I think Krammer meant to say left ankle. The reports were that it was the left ankle. Either way it doesn’t seem to be a problem. No limp for Jared at Wednesday walkthroughs. The defensive end is on schedule to get in his one series Friday night against Houston and spend the rest of the evening with a wad of chewing tobaccy going.
