The first fine of the regular season is in.  Lions DT Ndamukong Suh received a fine of $100,000 for his low block against Vikings C John Sullivan.  Considering Suh’s history with poor behavior on the field, the Lions are lucky that Suh wasn’t suspended.

The irony of the situation is that Suh was named one of the captains for the Lions team this year.  Before Detroit’s week 1 game, he called a meeting with all the players to talk about avoiding silly penalties and playing more disciplined football.  Perhaps Suh should lead more by example.

John Sullivan has forgiven Suh for the hit, saying that he has accepted an apology by Suh for the low block.  The Lions meet the Vikings again in week 17, the final week of the regular season.
