Today, the Vikings released quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson. The move was made to free up a roster spot for newly acquired quarterback Josh Freeman.
Although the quarterback has never seen action in a regular season game, both Vikings management and fans seem optimistic about his future as a signal caller. Bethel-Thompson has a cannon for an arm and has been working the last couple seasons on his touch and accuracy. He has appeared on the roster as a third string quarterback for the last two years and acted as the backup quarterback last game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The team will most likely attempt to try to sign McLeod back on the practice squad if he clears waivers.
