Xavier Rhodes MRI Comes Back Negative

The Vikings got some good news today when it comes to the injury of rookie cornerback Xavier Rhodes.  There were concerns early on that he had some ligament damage, but an MRI done a bit earlier today revealed no damage done.  Instead, Rhodes is dealing with an ankle sprain and will be on a day-to-day basis.

Although Rhodes has made only one start, he played the second most snaps of Vikings corners against the Panthers.   Pro Football Focus graded the rookie cornerback positively in that game, and his combination of height and speed really helped the team work with the quick wide receivers in Carolina.

With the bad news coming after Desmond Bishop’s MRI, Vikings fans are only waiting on the results of one more MRI, that of Harrison Smith.
