Murphy was brought up to the active roster for the game against the Washington Redskins.  Murphy was acting as the swing tackle due to the concussion that right tackle Phil Loadholt suffered in the previous game that forced J’Marcus Webb into the starting role.  The Vikings were lucky enough that another team didn’t snap up on him.
