Jarius Wright Scores Two Touchdowns In Loss To Seahawks

Even though the Vikings lost the game on Sunday to the Seattle Seahawks, something good did come of it.  Vikings fans got to see wide receiver Jarius Wright step into a bigger role and shine.  With Greg Jennings inactive with an achilles tendon injury and Jerome Simpson’s future with the team uncertain, Wright showed that he is ready to take on more responsibilities.

Wright scored two touchdowns and amassed 69 yards on three catches.  He was targeted four times in the passing game by a combination of Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel.  With a more consistent quarterback in the passing game, Wright could be an emerging star in the making that just can’t seem to get the right opportunities.

Most expected Cordarrelle Patterson to be in the spotlight in the Vikings passing game against Seattle, but he only caught 3 of  his 9 targets for a total of 28 yards.

We could get another glance of Wright’s ability next week when the Vikings travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers at Lambeau Field.

Ok Adam, where has he been the rest of the year? I really felt he may be an integral facet of the team this year in the slot. The fact was the Seahawks never felt Wright could, would, or should beat them. The 2nd TD and his bullshit antics was bush league. Behind like that just hand the ball to the ref and get to the sideline! On 2nd thought the QB situation dictates, so hats off to someone that made some plays!…God this team is sooo BAD!
