Vikings right guard Brandon Fusco was injured during the first half of the game against the Baltimore Ravens. It was an injury to his knee that forced him out and caused him to be ruled out at halftime.
He was replaced by veteran lineman Joe Berger, who is a versatile backup but lacks the power run blocking that Fusco provides. If Fusco is unable to play going forward, Berger would be forced into the starting lineup, which could be trouble for the running backs of the Minnesota Vikings. This is especially true since the team could be without Adrian Peterson if the team decides to shut him down after the scary injury he suffered and the fact that the team is now mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
