It appears as though the Viking will have the services of Harrison Smith on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The hard hitting second year safety said on KTWIN 96.3 FM that he would play.  This is bad news if you’re a member of the Eagles.  And it is good news for the Vikings who are looking for their 4th win of the year.  Smith is an immediate upgrade in a struggling secondary that ranks at or near the bottom of the league in all pass defense categories.

Smith may not get the start, but he should be active.  Look for Minnesota to try to ease him back into action.
