The Minnesota Vikings have concluded their first round of interviews for the vacant head coach position. It looks like the team has chosen just a couple finalists to bring back for second interviews. One of the names on that list is Mike Zimmer of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Recently, Fox Sports insider Jay Glazer said during a television broadcast that he believes that during Zimmer’s second interview that he may be hired as the team’s new head coach. The interview is scheduled to go on early this week.
Here is the segment that aired on Fox Sports:
Zimmer is quite a contrast to former head coach Leslie Frazier. Those who watched Hard Knocks have seen Zimmer’s passion and fire for his team. He holds his players accountable and isn’t afraid to let those emotions show at any time.
Although there are one or two other candidates for the position, Zimmer appears to be the in the lead for the position. The Vikings could have a new head coach as early as this week.
