Sad news for fans of Adrian Peterson. The star running back will not participate in the Pro Bowl, leaving kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson as the lone representative from the Minnesota Vikings.
Peterson will be replaced by Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy for the game.
“I was extremely excited to hear that I am getting to go to the Pro Bowl after my rookie season,” Lacy said in a team release. “I feel like it gives me a great opportunity to thank my teammates, especially the offensive line, and coaches, for working with me and helping me accomplish what I did on the field this year.”
Meanwhile, Peterson will take time to rest up and nurse his injuries in order to return to the team next season healthy and ready to play.
