Mike Zimmer is still writing things down for Bill Parcells.
It’s a habit the Vikings coach formed back in his days working for Parcells in Dallas. Parcells would tell him to write something down, some piece of wisdom about football or life, and Zimmer would do it. Because when Bill Parcells tells you to write something down, you write it down.
You gonna argue with Bill Parcells?
Nothing has changed in the years since Parcells first took Zimmer under his wing. When Zimmer scored the head coaching gig in Minnesota, the Big Tuna had some new stuff for his notebook.
Zimmer himself would not reveal Parcells’ advice, but Chris Mortensen found out what what it was.

A serious dose of reality from a guy with a ton of football wisdom stored up in his brain.
I don’t think we’ll have to worry too much about Mike Zimmer having his head screwed on straight. I just worry about his sanity in the madhouse that is Minnesota.
