Cris Carter has written a book called “Going Deep” and is out doing the usual promotion, which means going on talk shows. Lots and lots of talk shows.

Wednesday night Cris sat down with fake pundit and noted bear-hater Stephen Colbert.

Among the topics covered: What makes a great wide receiver.

Cris thinks it’s all about the hand-size and thumb flexibility.

Also covered: Cris Carter is better than Isaac Bruce because Cris went to 8 Pro Bowls and Isaac only went to 4.

Cris also discusses his technique for securing a football.

And he admits that, yes, he did flop to the turf on purpose to avoid getting hit. But that’s just smart football. That’s how you last long enough to make the Hall of Fame.
