You young folks won’t believe it but there was a time when the Vikings were perennial Super Bowl contenders. It’s hard to believe but it’s true. The Vikings went to four Super Bowls back in the stone age. Four!

As any Packer fan can tell you, the Vikings lost all four times.

Take a trip down memory lane with us now – and burn off a couple tedious hours while you’re waiting for this year’s Super Bowl – and watch the Vikings lose in Super Bowl XI to John Madden and the Oakland Raiders.

Ah glorious seventies television. No graphics all over the screen. No dancing robots. No Joe Buck.

Can we go back to that please?
