Vikings Not Expected To Earn 2014 Compensatory Pick

It seems as though the Vikings won’t be acquiring any draft picks through the compensatory system this year.

Compensatory picks are awarded to teams each year based on the free agents that they lost and acquired last year.  Minnesota added wide receiver Greg Jennings and didn’t lose any players to free agency that came close to matching the kind of contract Jennings got.

Because of that, the Vikings shouldn’t be eligible to receive a pick.
