NFL Salary Cap Expected To Rise

News was released today that the projected salary cap for the 2014 NFL season would rise.

Although 5% doesn’t sound like a big difference, it would raise to cap to approximately $130 million.  This was confirmed by ESPN’s Adam Schefter in a tweet on Thursday morning.

NFL’s salary cap now projected to rise to about $130 million, up 5 percent from $123 million last year, per league sources. More $ for all.

According to Spotrac, this would place the Vikings approximately $32 million under the salary cap and allow them to pursue several big name targets in free agency.
