Good news for Vikings fans came on Friday when it comes to the face of the Vikings franchise. Adrian Peterson had surgery earlier this year and although it was considered a minor procedure, you never know how complications from anything medical will go.
USA Today’s Tom Pellisero sent out this tweet, assuring fans that Peterson is on track for camp:
“Just talked to #Vikings coach Mike Zimmer. Said Adrian Peterson is doing great in recovery, should be ready for April minicamp.”
Although Peterson usually doesn’t take part in too many of the activities of camp, it’s good to know that he’s on track to be healthy and should be ready for action next season. The Vikings need Peterson to be healthy since new offensive coordinator Norv Turner has big ideas for implementing more ways to get him the ball.
I’m sure we’ll have more Adrian Peterson news as it nears closer to training camp, but for now it’s nice not to have to worry about him being good to go next season.
