Toby Gerhart Agrees To 3-Year Deal With Jaguars

Vikings fans won’t get the opportunity to see running back Toby Gerhart back in a purple jersey next season.  Instead, he was inked to a three year deal from the Jacksonville Jaguars on day one of free agency.

Gerhart landed a nice deal with the Jaguars, where he is expected to compete for  a starting job. They are reportedly paying him $1o.5 million over the three years of the deal, with $4.5 million guaranteed.

In a time where there are a lot of big name free agent running backs available, it is interesting to see Jacksonville go out and get Gerhart so early in the process.

We at The Viking Age wish Toby Gerhart the best of luck going forward with his career.

Wow, I Hate to see him Go. But I am excited to see him start next year… I know he’ll be starting :)

The wise move would’ve been to trade AP with Houston for their draft pick and use it to pick up Blake Bortles. from there, the Vikings should have offered Gerhart a hefty contract. This way the Vikings have youth, and thus, healthiness to their advantage.

I hate to see him leave MN. I am happy to see his full potential! Being a CA man, I watched him at Stanford. Super explosive! I wish the best for him. CA, born and raised, but Purple blood runs through my vaines!
