49ers Sign Former Vikings CB Chris Cook

The San Francisco 49ers have signed former Vikings cornerback Chris Cook to a one year deal.

This is good news for a lot of Vikings fans who have grown tired of watching Cook struggle in coverage and give up big plays.  After not registering a single interception in his 4 years in Minnesota, the Vikings declined to pay what would have been needed to bring him back to the team.

Cook was a second round pick (#34 overal) for Minnesota back in 2010.  Despite having great size and speed, he never seemed to live up to his potential as a starting cornerback during his time with the Vikings.

We at The Viking Age wish him the best of luck on his future endeavors.
