The Vikings may have brought back Matt Cassel this offseason, but that doesn’t mean that their search for the quarterback of the future is over.
According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, members of the Vikings staff arrived to Louisville’s pro day early and decided to check out their star quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater.
Minnesota already showed interest in Bridgewater previously. They had high profile scouts attending a game against Rutgers and have since been known to be at least somewhat interested in the quarterback that many NFL experts are declaring as the best passer in the draft class.
You’d have to think that the Vikings would consider him heavily if he is there with the #8 overall pick. Minnesota may even consider trading up to get him.
Bridgewater should be a fairly hot commodity on draft day. He shows the skills and maturity of a quarterback that could be very successful in the NFL.
