Teddy Bridgewater worked out for scouts at Louisville pro day Monday morning, and according to folks who were there, the results were pretty mixed.

Kurt Warner for one thought Bridgewater’s accuracy was spotty. But not everyone saw such a big problem with Bridgewater’s throws.

Gil Brandt, who is also on record as loving Johnny Manziel, was more impressed with Bridgewater. And he wasn’t the only one.

A certain NFL offensive coordinator also liked what he saw from Bridgewater.

Norv and other Vikings representatives will reportedly meet with Bridgewater, who is currently projected as a top 10 pick in the upcoming draft.

For those who see the Vikings’ interest in Bridgewater as proof that they want to draft him, remember that when you’re trying to trade down, you need to thoroughly scout all the players who might be available around your pick, to gauge how much that pick might be worth to the teams behind you.

If conventional wisdom is correct, Bridgewater will be long gone by pick #8, so all this will be moot.

The other possibility is that the Vikings fall in love with Bridgewater and try to trade up. Either way, it behooves Norv Turner to restrict his praise of Bridgewater to the lukewarm “pretty good” area. For tactical reasons.

Bust out that poker face Norv. It’s draft season.
