Jasper Brinkley Gets His Old Number, Gerald Hodges Switches

Breaking Vikings uniform number news to report this fine Monday. Get out your pencils and write this one down:

Jasper Brinkley, who recently returned to the Vikings on a one year deal, will get his old #54 back according to the Vikings PR Twitter account.

To facilitate this move, second year linebacker Gerald Hodges will switch from his rookie number 54 to #50.

To recap: That’s Jasper Brinkley wearing 54, Gerald Hodges wearing 50.

Updating an earlier number-related situation, Captain Munnerlyn has settled on #24 after briefly hinting that he wanted his old #41 from Mistral Raymond. In the end, Munnerlyn relented and let Raymond keep his number.

If Raymond fails to make the team – a distinct possibility – then Munnerlyn will get his 41 back. If he still wants it.

Okay you’re all caught up on the uniform number situation, you may go back to whatever you were doing.
