Dunking After Touchdown Is Now A Penalty

The No Fun League is at it once again.  This time, it is a celebration after a touchdown that has been changed.

Players are no longer allowed to “slam dunk” the football over the goalposts after a touchdown.  Doing so will result in a penalty.

That’s right. No more dunks.

Why would the NFL take away something that is so much fun?  I’m not sure.  Perhaps it is because of once incident when Jimmy Graham hung on the post a little too long and caused it to bend, becoming unlevel.

It is a scary thought at what could be the next thing the NFL does to take some of the fun out of the game.  At least none of the Minnesota Vikings are known for dunking the ball after a touchdown.
