Everson Griffen's Goodbye To Jared Allen

Everson Griffen’s goodbye to Jared Allen on Twitter was both a kind way to say goodbye and a motivation to both players.  Here’s what he had to say:

Now it’s time to take what he taught me and my God giving ability to take my game to the next level. It’s hard to say goodbye, but we will see him twice this year. It was a honor to play with you. Once a viking, always a viking. Be ready for the Vikes to take it to the bears. One more thing @JaredAllen69 I really hope you don’t think you leading the NFC in sacks this year. I love competition, Here We Go!#cantwait

Many Vikings players, coaches and fans will look back on their time spent with Jared Allen and smile.  He has offered some of the most memorable moments of the Vikings recent history and should be looked at as a Minnesota Viking forever.

Sadly, that isn’t physically going to be true since Jared signed a four year deal with the Chicago Bears earlier today.
