The Vikings already saw Teddy Bridgewater throw at his pro day, but they want another chance to speak to the young man, this time in Winter Park.
Josina Anderson reports that Bridgewater will take a couple days – April 14-15, to be exact – and pay the Vikings a visit.
You will recall that Bridgewater struggled at his pro day, throwing without a glove. The QB’s stock has taken a tumble since then, despite his good showing on Jon Gruden’s QB camp.
Norv Turner, for the record, was one of the few people who gave Bridgewater’s pro day a good review.
There was a time when it seemed highly unlikely that Bridgewater would be there for the Vikings at #8, but all this draft stock uncertainty, some of it stemming from questions about Bridgewater’s ability to hold up physically, has seemingly opened the door for the Vikes to have a chance at Teddy.
Whether the Vikings actually want Teddy is another question. They are reportedly very high on Zach Mettenberger, but is that just a smokescreen?
We shall see. We shall see.
