Teddy Bridgewater was in Winter Park this weekend to workout “extensively” for the Vikings, and his old Louisville teammate Andrell Smith was there to help out.
Smith, who was signed by Miami last year after going undrafted but ultimately cut, posted this shot to Instagram of him and Teddy at the practice field.
Apparently, Teddy and Andrell “killed” the workout.
Even if the Vikings don’t ultimately draft Bridgewater, maybe they end up signing Andrell Smith. You can always use more receivers.
It’s pretty interesting that the Vikings are taking such a long, hard look at Bridgewater. The QB had a bad pro day according to some scouts, and has reportedly struggled in some other workouts.
Of course there are others who accuse teams of spreading bad reports about Teddy to deliberately torpedo his draft stock.
Maybe Andrell’s Instagram posting, and his report that he and Teddy killed the workout, is part of a deliberate effort to dispel some of these bad reports.
I don’t know what the Vikings are going to do come draft day, but they are making a pretty concerted effort to convince everyone that they are heavily interested in Teddy Bridgewater.
That means something. Maybe. I guess.
