Vikings Draft Targets: Anthony Barr, Khalil Mack Will Visit Thursday

More names have been confirmed for the Vikings’ top 30 prospect event this week in Winter Park.

Per Ian Rapoport, you can add Anthony Barr and Khalil Mack to the list of players who will be rolling through as part of the extravaganza.

Louisville linebacker Preston Brown is also expected in town this week. Sense a pattern emerging here?

Obligatory reminder that the team’s interest in Mack and Barr could be a smokescreen. Moving on…

In my four round mock earlier on Monday, I gave Barr to the Vikings in the first round.

The Vikings probably would rather trade down from 8 but trading down might not be easy.

They would also probably rather draft Khalil Mack than Barr but trading up to get Mack will be harder than trading down.

Barr would not be the worst consolation prize in the world if Rick Spielman is unable to work the draft the way he wants.

There are lots of people who will be very unhappy if the Vikings take Barr or any other defensive player at 8 over a quarterback.

Have we covered all the possible scenarios yet?

I like Buchanon, but I would rather have Loston…either would work, I just like Lostons toughness more…Mettenberger will be gone before then, but overall I like this draft
