The NFL has something planned for April 22 that will, for a couple minutes at least, relieve the boredom diehard fans are experiencing as they wait out the long drudgery of the pre-draft process.

On April 22, the NFL will officially release the full schedule of games for 2014.

There is s chance, according to PFT, that for one reason or another the release could end up being shifted one day later or one day sooner, but as of now the plan is for that schedule to come out on the 22nd.

Because the NFL is all about TV and the Benjamins of course, the league plans to release the schedule as part of a prime time made-for-NFL-network event, complete with thorough analysis. Even though there is no single exercise in all of sports more dumberer than breaking down schedules months before anyone has any inkling which teams will be good and which ones will be bad.

But having zero real information to work with has never stopped analysts before, so why should it now?

Anyway, make sure you don’t have anything planned for Tuesday evening April 22nd. You’ll want to be in front of your TV to see the schedule release. And have Twitter fired up so you can complain about how bad your team is being hosed.
