Vikings Bring Back TE Allen Reisner

Tight End Allen Reisner couldn’t stay away from Minnesota.  After a short 2 year stint in Jacksonville, Reisner found his way back home to the Vikings.

Allen began his NFL career with the Vikings back in 2011.  He stayed with the team for for 2 years before heading to Jacksonville for two years.  Today, he signed back with Minnesota on a deal where the details are not fully known yet.

Reisner will enter a tight end group in Minnesota that includes Kyle Rudolph, Rhett Ellison, and Chase Ford.  All of the tight ends listed here have all shown excellent ability at times and this should be an interesting competition to watch in training camp and preseason.  It may all come down to special teams and the ability to use guys like Rudolph or Ford as a receiver in some sets.

Congratulations to Allen Reisner on returning to Minnesota and we look forward to seeing him contribute to the team.
