Vikings offensive lineman Josh Samuda suffered a horrific injury earlier this week. He has since undergone successful surgery to repair the break, according to ESPN’s Ben Goessling on Twitter.
Source close to the situation said Josh Samuda had successful surgery today. Broken fibula, dislocated ankle and damage to deltoid ligament.

Sadly, Samuda will need a window of 9 to 10 months to recover.
This will most likely place him on injured reserve for the remainder of the season or he could end up being released by the Vikings with an injury settlement. Either way, Vikings fans should not expect him to compete for a roster spot any time this year.
