Here’s a little piece of news Donovan McNabb probably wishes had never gotten out:
On Wednesday, the former Vikings quarterback reported to the Maricopa County (Arizona) Sheriffs Department to serve a one day jail sentence stemming from a previously unreported December 2013 DUI arrest.
TMZ reports that McNabb was pulled over last December 13 after being clocked doing 81 in a 65 mph zone in his Land Rover. Maricopa County deputies decided that McNabb was driving while intoxicated and arrested him for DUI.
During his March court hearing, McNabb agreed to a plea deal that included a one day jail sentence. McNabb completed his sentence Thursday morning and was released, at which time the authorities also released his mugshot.
McNabb’s current employers, Fox Sports, released a statement about the incident saying no further disciplinary action will be taken against McNabb.
So that’s where Donovan McNabb is in his career. He can get busted for DUI in December and cop a plea from it in March, and no one even knows about it.
He almost snuck right through the process without anyone being the wiser. I’m sure now McNabb would just like to forget the whole thing ever happened.
Funny, but Viking fans feel the same way about McNabb’s time in Minnesota.
