Adrian Peterson Will Meet Don Draper In All-Star Celebrity Softball Game

This year’s MLB All-Star week celebrity softball game will feature a whole bevy of Minnesota sports stars, a few random Minnesota celebs, a bunch of baseball legends from the past…and one mad man.

The Vikings’ very own Adrian Peterson is among the current-day Minnesota sports luminaries who have signed on to play in the celebrity game set for July 14 at Target Field. He’ll be joined by Kevin Love (who I’m assuming will still be a Minnesota sports luminary at that point), Zach Parise and Maya Moore.

Minnesota-affiliated TV personalities Andrew Zimmern and James Denton will also strap it on for the game. Baseball legends scheduled to appear include Twins World Series hero Jack Morris and Twins short-timer Jim Thome.

But the biggest name currently scheduled to appear in the game isn’t a baseball hero or a Minnesota sports star, he’s TV actor Jon Hamm. All due respect to Adrian Peterson, Kevin Love, Andrew Zimmern and Jack Morris. Jon Hamm blows those guys out of the water for star power.

Don Draper himself will be on the grass at Target Field playing softball. All I have to say to the other guys is, keep an eye on your women. And whatever you do don’t get in a drinking contest with him. You will lose.

F^ck Don Draper! That Jon Hamm guy is cool though. I would worry about Adrian Peterson, He’s pretty competitive from what I heard. If he over exerts himself or gets injured…well, there goes your fantasy league.
