Vikings wide receiver Greg Jennings has played with his fair share of star quarterbacks while playing with the Green Bay Packers. Sadly, he hasn’t had the same kind of experience since coming to the Minnesota Vikings.

Jennings has had to endure a carousel of quarterbacks in his one year with Minnesota, including Christian Ponder, Matt Cassel, and Josh Freeman.  Entering this season, there are still questions concerning who the starting quarterback will be.  With veteran Matt Cassel looking like the current favorite and first round draft choice Teddy Bridgewater nipping at his heels, it should be quite a competition for the starting job.

Here’s what Jennings told reporters at a seminar titled “A Call to Men: The Next Generation of Manhood” on May 9th about first round draft pick Teddy Bridgewater:

"“What I know about him is he’s a hard worker. He’s a smart kid. And he wants to get better. Just thatalone, it makes you want to work with somebody.”"

And as far as Bridgewater getting ready to play, Greg Jennings has an idea about that:

"“Cassel is the best. If I were a quarterback, I would want Matt to be like my teacher. I would want to be behind a guy like Matt because he approaches the game like a true professional. He’s not afraid of helping those who are pursuing his position. He’s just not. His makeup is, ‘Look, if we can all be better, our team is going to be better.’”"

It sounds as though Greg Jennings is looking forward to this year.  Hopefully, he’ll find more success with either Bridgewater or Cassel this season.
