Blair Walsh Weighs In On Twitter Beefing

Twitter beefing seems to be a thing among athletes these days, especially NFL cornerbacks, who apparently are the most insecure of all football players. Vikings kicker Blair Walsh has a message for Richard Sherman, Patrick Peterson and all these other players throwing shade back and forth via social media: Calm the heck down, dudes.

In his own Twitter post, the mild-mannered Mr. Walsh offered this advice:

Hear that guys? Blair Walsh is sick of your beefing. Why can’t we all just get along???

Ridiculous. Right on Blair Walsh. You go get ‘em, tiger.

Rawr.

I sort of like his comment. The attitude I want from a player is that they want to get better. Compliment your opponent and then work hard to beat them.

If you think you are the best then I don’t trust your attitude. If you say you are striving to be the best – you are likely to have an attitude I appreciate.

I may think Adrian Peterson is the best RB in the NFL. But I don’t want to hear that from him. I want him trying for that 2500 yard season – even if I don’t think he can (or should) get there.
