Normally, the WWE and NFL don’t have too much in common. It’s a rare event that the two overlap. It’s even weirder when the incident involves a Minnesota Vikings fan and the live television broadcast is originating from Knoxville, Georgia.
While watching WWE’s Monday Night Raw tonight, my nephew spotted a sign that he thought was really awesome. Insisting that I had to see it, he hit rewind on the remote control and showed it to me. To my surprise, the sign I saw is something that I see posted on Facebook and Twitter very often. Here is a photo I took of the sign from the television broadcast:
In case you can’t read the sign from the photo, it says “Aaron Rodgers SUCKS! SKOL VIKINGS“. While I don’t agree that Aaron Rodgers sucks, every fan is entitled to their opinion. However, SKOL VIKINGS is something that I can totally get behind.
If you’re not familiar with the word “SKOL”, don’t feel bad. There are quite a few Vikings fans out there that don’t know what it means. Skol is a Danish and Norwegian word that is used to express friendly feeling toward one’s companions before drinking.
It is strange to see a sign like this in Knoxville, Tennessee, but it is even more odd to see it at this point in the off-season. I guess some Minnesota Vikings don’t have an off-season at all.
