Vikings Have Kept In Touch With Kevin Williams

Is there even a faint glimmer of hope left for a Kevin Williams-Vikings reunion? Maybe? Perhaps? Possibly?

During an interview with Bruce Murray and Rich Gannon on SiriusXM, Williams opened the door, if only just a tiny crack, on a return to Minnesota.

Williams also said he’s not concerned about money but wants a chance to win and play with a good quarterback. So clearly the Vikings would not be his first choice.

Sounds to me like Williams is keeping the Vikings option open in the event everything else falls through.

Williams was still productive for the Vikings in 2013, especially during a short stretch where he got more snaps at nose tackle, and probably still has enough to be a solid rotational player on Mike Zimmer’s revamped defensive line.

Whether Williams does come back will likely be a matter of what other options materialize in the coming weeks. In other words, don’t slam the door on a K-Will return just yet.

Leave that door open just a hair.

Sign him, sign him, sign him!!

  • Todd Robinson

He doesn’t want to be a Viking, but will if nothing else materializes. Ponders lacking! Don’t talk about the splinter in your friends eye with that 2×4 sticking out of your own. The defense had as much to do with last years losses as any one player……..even Ponder!

time to move on. I love all that KWill has done for this team over the years abd he is one of the greatest players to ever dawn the purple and gold…nevertheless, the team has gone in a different direction, as should Williams.. we are younger, more athletic, more diverse… exciting things are coming for this franchise… SKOL
