Adrian Peterson Given 25:1 Odds To Be 2014 MVP

I know it is WAY too early in the year to be talking about the 2014 NFL MVP, but whenever something comes out that shows favorably upon a member of the Minnesota Vikings, I always take notice  This time, it came in the form of the very popular online betting website Bovada where they opened a betting line as to who the 2014 NFL MVP would be.  Here are all of the players who have 50:1 odds or better according to Bovada’s site:

As you can see from the list above, Adrian Peterson has the best odds of any non-quarterback of taking home the 2014 MVP this year.  There are only a few that I see as bad lines.  For example, I don’t see why RG3 should have better odds than a guy like Cam Newton or Philip Rivers.

And, in case you’re wondering, Johnny “Football” Manziel has 200:1 odds to win the MVP and 6:1 odds to be Rookie of the Year.  Meanwhile, they do have Teddy Bridgewater  unlisted for the MVP and at 7:1 odds for Rookie of the year.

If you want to place a bet on one of the folks listed above or a different longshot, head over to the Bovada website and do so at http://sports.bovada.lv/sports-betting/football-player-props.jsp
