On the first day of camp practices, the Minnesota Vikings placed a pair of defensive backs and a tight end on the PUP list.
The biggest name to hit the Physically Unable to Perform list is cornerback Captain Munnerlyn, who is dealing with a hamstring problem. Mike Zimmer indicated that Munnerlyn has a minor problem and won’t be down for very long. The cornerback was brought in this year on a free agent contract to stabilize the slot corner position and bring identity and attitude to the secondary.
Safety Andrew Sendejo, who is believed to be in the mix for a starting spot, is nursing a back issue, severity not known.
Tight end Chase Ford reported for the first day of camp with a walking boot on his foot and revealed he has a stress fracture. He should be out for the entirety of camp and preseason.
By rule, players on the PUP list are unable to participate in practice drills until they pass a physical.
